People as snow

Each snowflake is different from all others they say.
And as I walk down the high street I see
That people are too.

Even as they coalesce into one endless mess
Of variously spiky opinions and
Deliberately contrived attempts
At being different.

As snowflakes make snow,
We lose ourselves in the greater mass,
Melding with a larger identity
And eventually becoming ice.

  1. Interesting, but is it my imagination, or has it gone a bit 'quiet' with the comments, apart from you D? How are you? Chris.

  2. I do have to say that I'm surprised that as a group of supposedly enthusiastic amateur or semi professional, or even professional, writers, this blog isn't streaming with various examples of expression and have-a-go examples of spontaneous creativity. Never mind comments, there's far too little content. Come on all. Just write summink. What's it for otherwise? Let your hair down and spill something out. No one gives a shit if it doesn't work. It's a chance to find out how people do react to what you write, and to experiment. Assuming of course that we're all able to say 'umm err' or 'oh yes'. Which again is supposed to be what the blog is for. I'm quite chuffed with some of the stuff I write. Other bits make me cringe. Well that's ok. All part of it. Beats doing it for myself. And it's all part of learning and growing. So c'mon.. get on with it for fuck's sake (little bit for Beth's sake there).
